Georgia II

A trip to Atlanta to see Sarah and Ronnie:

Micah kindly showed Sophia around his kitchen:

Elisha is currently taking lessons in drumming and taught Sophia some techniques.

Eventually he decided she was ready to try it out on her own:

Elisha is also on a basketball team. We got to go to one of his games where he was all smiles on the court.

Additional highlights included Sophia's first time on a pony:

And a trip up Stone Mountain. The world's largest exposed piece of granite!

     

When we landed Back in Boston, the Pilot invited Sophia up to the front of the Plane. She loved all the lights and buttons.

                     

Ruudy and Beckie Come to Visit

Beckie is one of my best friends from college, and despite the fact that she now lives about 7,000 miles away, I am grateful to have been able to continue our friendship.

In the years since we had last seen each other, I gave birth to Sophia and she married Ruudy. Everyone got to meet each other and enjoy a day in Boston with our mutual friend Lianna.

In addition to watching street performers at Quincy Market, eating cannolis in the North End, and walking along the waterfront, highlights included Ruudy and Sophia seeing their first seals outside the Boston Aquarium and Ruudy taking his first train ride of any kind on the T.

Knowing it might be a while until we get to see each other again, I was grateful for the chance to introduce my daughter to this dear friend....

...and to get to know her husband as well.

Treasures at Hazel's

We love having girl's sleep overs at Aunt Hazel's.

Her house is filled with Sophia sized treasures. Including teacups that can just barely be reached....

...accompanied by tiny spoons perfect for stirring invisible tea.

Chairs on which only she can fit, for sitting or ...

...standing to reach even more treasures.

Perhaps best of all is the basket filled with kitten toys.

The three cats quickly flee Sophia's advances, but Aunt Hazel investigates the toys with her...

...let's her choose her favorites...

...and assists to send them flying across the wood floors.

Colorado II

During Sophia's second trip to Colorado we visited:

We ended our trip with a visit to see former roommate and dear friend Desie. Sophia was entranced by Roscoe whom she followed around the house saying, "woof, woof".
