Aimee and Roger's Wedding

The Colorado Archambaults as well as new family members from Australia came together for several days of festivities to celebrate the wedding of Joshua's sister Aimee and Roger.

Our neighbors kindly shared their backyard with us for a party the night before the wedding.

A favorite Mexican restaurant supplied the buffet.

And the evening culminated with s'mores over charcoal.

The next morning about 75 friends and family members gathered in the backyard of Aimee's college roommate, who now serves as a Pastor alongside her husband.

Sophia and her cousin Anna had the honor of presenting the rings in a wooden box Roger had hand-carved.

J spent before, after and (part of the time) during the ceremony visiting the backyard chickens.

Sophia's Fourth Birthday

Sophia requested four things for her fourth birthday:

1. Breakfast in bed (likely inspired by Mother's day only a few weeks earlier)

2. A glue stick

3. Swimming Goggles

4. For it be "boots day" where we would all wear boots for the day

Our grand plans to bring her to the beach/playground turned into an indoor "sprayground" that she just happened to have all to herself for the first hour (no other kids and her brother fell asleep).

We went to a local diner afterwards that had an item on the menu called "The Sophia". It featured blueberry pancakes and a cheese omelet. Sophia loved ordering it and thought it was hilarious when the diner owner came over and asked, "How is 'the Sophia', Sophia?"
